范美忠北京教書引激烈爭論

新華社報道，在中國西南部5月12日的地震中逃離教室的一位前中學教師，已在北京的一所私立培訓學校找到了一份新的工作。

A former high school teacher who fled his classroom during the massive May 12 earthquake in southwest China has a new job in a private training school in Beijing, Xinhua reported.

周三，海淀區開華教育學校新聞發言人張文斌對新華社表示，范美忠已與該校簽訂了兩年的合同。

Fan Meizhong has a two-year contract with Keyfind Education School in the Haidian District, school spokesman Zhang Wenbin told Xinhua on Wednesday.

這位前語文教師原來在四川省都江堰市某私立中學教書。在那場8.0級的大地震中，他不顧學生，沖出教室逃命，網友將其稱為“范跑跑”。

A lecture was planned for Sunday, but after word of Fan's new job got out, with the media accusing the school of using the teacher for publicity, the lecture was cancelled, Zhang said.

張文斌說，“作為一個人，范美忠也有生存需要”。
